Your words stay yours.
Last updated: August 2026
The short version
- We collect your email address and a daily usage number — nothing else about you.
- Your text and voice are only sent when you trigger a correction, and are never stored or logged by us.
- Payments run through Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
- No ads, no trackers, no selling data. Ever.
- Want your account deleted? Email us and it's gone.
1. Who we are
Voxfix is a writing and voice assistant for Windows, operated by the Voxfix team. This policy explains what data we handle when you use the Voxfix app or this website.
You can reach us any time at [email protected] .
2. What we collect
We keep this list deliberately short:
- Account data — your email address and a user ID, created when you sign up. This is handled by Supabase, our authentication and database provider.
- Usage data — a daily counter of how many tokens (characters of text) you've corrected, and your plan (free or premium). This is a number. It contains no text, no audio, and no record of what you wrote or in which app.
- Billing status — if you upgrade, Stripe tells us your subscription status so the app can unlock Premium. We never receive your full card details.
3. What we never collect
✗ Your writing. Selected text is processed at the moment of correction and is not permanently stored or logged by Voxfix.
✗ Your voice. Voice audio is processed in real time to answer your question, and is not saved.
✗ Your keystrokes. Voxfix only reads text you explicitly select and check — it does not watch your typing.
✗ Your activity. We don't track which apps you use, which websites you visit, or build a profile about you.
✗ Advertising data. No ads, no analytics trackers, no data sharing with advertisers or data brokers.
4. How corrections work
When you trigger a correction, the selected text is sent over an encrypted connection to Voxfix's backend, processed by our AI model, and returned to your app. The text exists only for the seconds it takes to do that — it is not permanently stored or logged.
Voice mode works the same way: when you press the voice shortcut, your question and the selected text are processed to generate a spoken answer, then discarded. Only the daily usage counter is updated.
5. Third-party services we rely on
To run Voxfix, we use a small number of trusted processors:
- Supabase — account authentication, database, and file storage (such as the app installer).
- Our AI provider — processes correction and voice requests in real time.
- Stripe — payment processing for Premium subscriptions. Stripe's own handling of payment data is covered by their privacy policy.
We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone else — and these providers only get the minimum needed to do their job.
6. Data retention
Your account data (email, plan, usage counter) is kept for as long as your account is active. Usage counters reset daily. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account data — including your email and usage history.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Ask for a copy of it (data portability)
- Object to or restrict how it's used
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll respond as quickly as we can.
8. Children
Voxfix is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to account data is limited to what's needed to operate the service. No system is perfect, but we design so that the most sensitive data — your writing — is never stored in the first place.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app or by email.
Privacy, in plain language.
If anything here is unclear, email us — we'd rather over-explain than hide behind legal text.
